About

Some Psychologists are Christians but I am a Christian Psychologist. As a licensed Clinical Psychologist, I earned a Doctorate in Psychology at George Fox University and a Master's degree from Western Baptist Seminary in Portland. I speak from a Christian perspective. I work with adults on a variety of issues such as the cause of depression or anxiety, and men's issues.
My belief is this: we can do better than being Survivors. We are meant to be Warriors - traveling light minus the unnecessary burdens. I help people find what is holding them back.

Having reached “retirement age” a while ago, I help people who are processing retirement challenges. Retirement is not what it used to be a generation ago. Too many people do not think retirement through. As we live longer, retain useful skills, and want to invest in useful and meaningful activities, we need to make flexible plans and open our minds. Retirement is not just a financial undertaking it is a psychological undertaking as well which starts years before the last day of work. There are several phases in this process and I can guide you through.

I have been married since 1971. My wife and I raised two daughters who are now married. We enjoy six grandchildren to play with and take hiking with us. Before working as a Psychologist, I taught in public schools for fourteen years teaching Grades 3 -9.
I enjoy outdoor activities including working on our small farm, hiking, backpacking, and road trips. I have been active in various churches over the years teaching and holding leadership positions. my spouse and I now meet in a small gathering in our homes.
